The crude steel production is about 50.3 million tons in October, down by 3.8%; steel output is 65.29 million tons,
an increase by 4.1%, the growth rate slowed 0.4 percentage points comparing with the previous month.Coke
production rose by 1.4%. Ferroalloy production fell by 5.2%. Billet import 60 thousand tons, increased by 20
thousand tons comparing with the last month. 2.86 million tons of steel exported, reduced by 150 thousand tons,
and imported 1.14 million tons, 180 thousand tons less than the previous month.
Minor fluctuations in steel prices. October, the average steel price index is 121.44 in the domestic market, up by 1.87
points from last month.6.5mm high speed wire, 20mm MS plate, 1.0mm cold rolled coil prices were an average of
4368 yuan / ton, 4,454 yuan / ton and 5,359 yuan / ton seperately, down by 1%, 1.1% and 0.4% comapring with last
month.
