Weathering corrosion resistance steel plate A588 Grade A,A588 Grade B under steel specification ASTM A588/A588M which is mainly used in outdoors sculptures,briges,large structurals and shipping containers for ocean transportation.There are also the similar weathering steel plate SA588 Grade A and SA588 Grade B are in steel specificaiton ASME SA588/SA588M.

For these high strength low alloy(HSLA) steel plate A588 Grade A and A588 Grade B,they have the higher yield strength and tensile strength in steel properity.When the thickness equals or belows 100 mm,tensile strength shall be above 485 Mpa,minimum yield strength above 345 Mpa,the thickness above 100 mm and belows 125 mm,minimum tensile strength is 460 Mpa,and the yield point shall be above 315 Mpa,when the thickness above 125 mm,the yield strength shall be above 290 Mpa,and minimum tensile strength is 435 Mpa.However,for the steel structural shapes of A588 Grade A and A588 Grade B,for any thicknesses,minimum tensile strength shall be 485 Mpa and minimum yield strength is 345 Mpa.
