Under steel standard ASTM A387/A387M,pressure vessel steel plate and sheet A387 Grade 11 cl 1 and
A387 Grade 11 cl 2 are two main steel grades for liquid boilers and tanks usage.The relative steel grades
in ASME SA387/SA387 are steel grades SA387 Grade 11 CL1 and SA387 Grade 11 CL2.When production,
the heat treatment for pressure vessel steel plate A387Gr11cl1 and A387Gr11cl2 shall be under Normalized
and Tempered.Also for pressure vessel steel plates and sheets,our mill would do Ultrasonic test freely at
least according to JB/T4730.3 III class.When customers required,we also do ultrasonic test according to
ASTM Standard,such as A435/A435M,A577/A577M and A578/A578M.
for these boiler steel grades A387 Gr11 cl1 and A387 Gr11 cl2,our engineers suggest that customers choose
doing HIC and SSCC test when rolling for improve steel properity when they using and rolling under NACE
standard.HIC test is short for Hgdrogen Induced Crack Test which would strength pressure vessel steel
weldability and get smooth surface when post processing in customers'yards.Else the test of Simulated post
weld heat treatment also be suggested by engineers to the purchaser.When done these technicals,all the relative
test values shall be writen on the mill's certificates.
