  • ASTM A537CL2 and ASME SA537CL2 a main kind of heat_treated carbon_manganese_silicon steel plates 

    intended for fusion welded pressure vessels and structures.There are another two grades in ASTM and ASME 

    standard sepreately,A537CL1,A537CL3 and SA537CL1,SA537CL3.

    In rolling process,the steel shall be killed and shall conform to fine austenitic grain size requirement of A20/A20M.

    The delivery condition of A537CL1 plates shall be Normalized,and A537CL2 and A537CL3 shall be Quenched and 

    Tempered.Now we give the details values of A537CL2 and SA537CL2 as belows:

    Supplementary demands from customer mainly as belows:

    S3.PWHT-Simulated Post-Weld Heat Treatment,customer shall provide times of heat cycles,

    the temperature of treatment and the time of heat preservation.

    S5.Impactting Test, the temperature and energy shall be according to our customer’s requirement.

    S8.Ultrasonic test, including specifications A435/A435M,A577/A577M and A578/A578M,and generally,

    A578/A578M is usual used by customer.
